MyCoast RI needs your help to capture photographs of storm events. When a significant storm is set to hit Rhode Island, MyCoast volunteers will receive an alert to take photos of storm damage from flooding on streets and other infrastructure as well as erosion or other damages. Please only venture out when and where it is safe to do so and follow all directions from your state or local emergency managers.
Our team uses the storm photos to identify vulnerable areas, supporting residents, resources managers, and local and state governments in planning, response, and mitigation efforts to better protect communities from storm impacts.
