Tonight's high tide was predicted to be 4.9 ft., which is 7 in. lower than the expected high tide on 4-18-23. Areas of Jacob's Point that usually support Saltmarsh Sparrow nests were inundated with this relatively modest high tide with low wind. These threatened birds will return to their breeding grounds at JP in May, when predicted high tides will likely flood most nests.
