All individuals participating in the Adopt-A-Beach program agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Follow reasonable safety guidelines, which are as follows:
- stay out of dune areas
- wear gloves
- be careful when handling sharp objects
- don’t lift anything too heavy
- wear sunscreen and a hat
- drink water
- if you encounter a potentially dangerous item, please contact OCRM
- Hold harmless OCRM, the State of South Carolina, or other sponsors for any injuries suffered or damages caused as a result of participation in the program, as indicated by agreeing to these terms and conditions
- Pick up litter along adopted beach at least twice per year and report collected debris using the MyCoast Adopt-A-Beach-Reporting Tool
