"The white motorboat in the attached photos has been adrift for weeks in Lucy Creek between Lady's Island and Coosaw Island, SC, about 1/2 mile south of the bridge over Lucy Creek at Sam's Point. The boat has no lights, is a hazard to navigation as it drifts around the Creek, and is damaging the wetlands. The boat has appeared to be unattended since it was moored in Lucy Creek following Hurricane Matthew in 2016, and has broken free of its anchor within the past few weeks."
Boat Name is Mutual Fun III. Registration No. is SC 3194 CE, but could be SC 3174 CE with the “7” converted to a “9” with black tape. Boat remains hard aground on Lucy Creek as of April 16, 2018, banging up the marsh and oyster beds as tides and winds change. The sailboat in the photo is securely anchored and has been unattended and apparently abandoned in the middle of the navigable channel for about a year without an anchor light.
