Large Marine Debris Report by Nora Nickum
Friday Harbor, WA
"This old dock washed up and is continuing to shed bits of expanded polystyrene foam all over the beach. It is tied up while the landowners try to find someone to help dispose of it. It needs to be taken care of soon, or a massive amount of expanded polystyrene foam (styrofoam) will get into the ocean and pollute the beaches. Bits of styrofoam are already covering large amounts of this beach."
