"Styrofoam breaking apart from derilect concrete dock section at Poverty Bay Park and Lakota Beach"
This debris has been removed
Type: Dock
Construction material: Concrete dock - sandwiched around styrofoam
Debris source: I believe it may have come from personal residences in Adelaide area, as there were several docks placed in summer 2019 that broke free last winter. This dock has bounced back and forth over a half-mile stretch of beach (Poverty Bay Park) for months. It has just in the last week moved further south to private land and has now begun to break apart, releasing styrofoam onto the beach. The concrete bottom of the dock is 50 yards up the beach from the main dock so that the styrofoam is now vulnerable to damage from waves.
Ownership: The main dock has just floated from County land - Poverty Bay Park (land locked) south toward private land in the Lakota Beach area.
