"Boulevard Park, Bellingham, WA. North end of park is flooded every winter, this time more than usual. This entire pictures area is a contaminated site due to the S State St Manufactured gas plant, similar to the old Gasworks Park area in Lake Union, Seattle. This part of the park and adjacent higher ground has been in cleanup planning and design for years. Temporary rock shore protection is visible to protect the contaminants from further erosion."
