Comments: Overwash from the waves started appearing in the pond around noon and continued for the next hour or so but by then the storm surge coming up Musquashicut brook was topping the tide gates so the water continued to rise until around 4:30 but stopped about 30 feet from our house as the reversing tide finally caught up with itself (high tide at the pond lags the shoreline by about 3 hours).
