I couldn’t add any more dungeness after 10… there were 7 more complete carapaces , one female and they ranged I. S Their sizes were 60 to 175. 3 more had carapaces too broken to measure. Let me k ow if there is a way to measure more than 10 dungeness .

Hi Laura, As you’ve done is exactly right. You’re always welcome to add any additional measurements into the comments, but we only need measurements from up to 10 randomly selected Dungeness (and/or European green crabs) for a sufficient snapshot of the size range you’re seeing at that site that day. As much as you can get photos from directly overhead the better, since we’re likely to be able to pull additional measurements from photos someday as we need them, thanks to everyone remembering to put something it it for scale, as you have. Thanks for taking the time to search on San Juan! Green crabs were recently detected (again) in Westcott Bay, so it’s a timely spot to keep an eye on!
