Thanks for taking the time to do a Molt Search! Your photo with that item for scale is perfect! During the data check we do for each report, I noticed a tricky red rock crab that appears to have been mistaken as Dungeness. I’ve gone ahead and made some corrections based on your photo. I look for that widest 10th tooth on Dungeness and distinguish them from their look-alikes by checking for the protruding rostrum between the eyes and pie-crust fluted marginal teeth of the red rock crab.
