Hi PJ, Thanks for taking such great photos and for taking the time to do a Molt Search today. I’m relieved to be able to share with you that the molt you found is actually from a native hairy helmet crab. Unlike the invasive European green crab they’re longer front-to-back than side-to-side, but they sure do look unusual!
