Hi Jamie, Thanks for taking the time to do a Molt Search this week. Quick question–where did you do this search? It looks like MyCoast picked up the location of your home, and I’d like to edit that for you before we add this to the public dataset. I’ll also make one tweak to your Dungeness count while I’m in there. It looks to me like that smallest Dungeness-looking crab actually has a small notch behind it’s widest marginal tooth, which would be the sign that it’s actually the similar-looking Graceful Crab. I like to run my fingernail along the edge beyond the widest looking tooth to see if it catches on that tell-tale notch (graceful) or runs smoothly around the back (dungeness). Here’s some photo comparisons: https://wsg.washington.edu/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/3.-MEMA-v-MEGR-Slides.pdf. Your perfect photos have made our data check process super easy! Thanks for remembering something for scale and getting so many good angles on those guys. Great to have you part of this important work! -Lisa, Molt Search Lead
