Hi Gabriella, Thanks for your report from Burien yesterday! I am happy to report that the crab you identified as a European green crab is actually a native hairy helmet crab (Telmessus cheiragonus). This crab is commonly mistaken for a green crab because of its funky color, texture, and shape!
