Cause of Flooding:
What is Flooded:
"Estimated water depth: 2-5in. These photos were taken just one block east from my previous report at Amber St and Loring Av at Loring Av and Sapphire St. Sapphire St alike Amber St are below sea level and do not have dedicated, separated sidewalks. (Sapphire has a gravel path that narrows significantly with street ponding). After crossing Linden Blvd(NY rt 27), Sapphire St slopes downwards sharply. Sapphire St is a mix of gravel, dirt and asphalt which also becomes muddy after rainfall. The roads are uneven, pot hole laden and cracked. (This area is along the Brooklyn Queens border of East NY and Lindenwood and is also known as the South Jewel Streets). DSCF8744 shows the flooding conditions on Amber St compared to the other photos taken on Sapphire St. (These were taken at the same time)."
