Debris source: commercial shellfish aquaculture
These abandoned and decaying shellfish bags and rusting metal bars have been on this beach for many years. They pose multiple hazards, including microplastics and danger from the sharp points on the rusted metal bars. The size of the area covered is several times larger than what is shown in the photos

Visit this site at extreme low tide to see the full extent of the abandoned aquaculture infrastructure.
The top of this report says, Hansville, WA Kitsap County” but the site is in Jefferson County on the south-facing beach just after crossing the Hood Canal bridge.
