Damage Reported

Roads

Street/Road: Unspecified

Marinas and Harbors
Buildings
Hazardous Materials
Beach

State: Accessible

Coastal Structures

Specific Damage:

  • Splashover

Comments: The seaward fixes should align with the sidewalk - so all positions should shift about 10 feet seaward. It appears snow impeded or masked washover into many yards. The low-lying Juniper Rd was effectively a washover channel and carried sand and seaweed farther inland than in most locations.

Natural Resources

Specific Damage:

  • Overwashed beach/dune

Comments: Washover down driveway of 353 Long Beach Av (Fix 2) was 135 feet from sidewalk. Cobble washover crossed US Route 1A. For example see Fix 3 photo across from 339 Long Beach Av and Fix 4 of sidewalk littered with cobbles.

Current Response

Response:

  • Road clearing
