The big waves caused significant erosion at the north street end of Scenic Ave which ends at the beach (street end has no bulkhead nor any rocks or soft armoring to protect it). The Nov 15, 2021 storm caused initial erosion and the Jan 7 storm greatly increased the erosion southward into the street between bulkheads of the houses east and west. If this erosion continues, high wind waves will eventually (maybe even this winter?) wash over the end of Scenic into Maple Grove Rd to the south.

On Jan 7, 2022, Nov 15, 2021 and in recent years, flooding on Maple Grove Rd comes from waves washing over the bulkheads at and near 746 W. Maple Grove Rd., Camano Island.
