Paden Lagoon, Fairhaven, Bellingham, WA. Normal but high storm surge flooding of the existing Seaview Padden boatyard. This is a little before the high tide with storm surge. Third image is looking the other direction (south) to the restored (enhanced) estuary bank from several years ago. This area is comprised of uncontrolled fill on top of a very contaminated area, with dioxin and other goodies, on top of sand flats and old marsh deposits (which are very likely all settling). While most boat work is done at slightly higher ground in the shep, is this best practices for boat yard siting and management?
