Comments: Over the course of the 3 day event there have been 6-8 confirmed recreational boats that have parted moorings. Most have been recovered with minor damage although there may be more vessels that are unaccounted for. This is a relatively normal occurrence during long duration storms if lines do not have quality chaffing gear or if mooring chains have not been properly inspected and replaced as necessary.
