Storm Report
Chatham, MA
Impacts Reported
"Substantial overwash of South Beach north of the inlet through South Beach that formed in 2013. Numerous areas where previous dune have been leveled and some sand transport onto the intertidal flats west of the beach. No true "breaches" in the the barrier beach with any flowing water. Not able to see the southern section of South Beach below the inlet which is attached to Monomoy. Expect that section to have had even more overwash given the very low elevation of the beach prior to the storm."
