Additional Information: Open water/moored/possible mudflat at low tide 85 Collie Lane, Saluda VA. I currently am taking care of my great grandmother's property, after years of not being kept up. I have noticed a boat at the end of her dock for quite some time. It has over the years sunk. From my findings, it was abandoned there and she never messed with it to remove it or find the owner. Well it has since sunk. It seems like it has a cabin to it on the inside. These pictures were taken at high tide so please keep that in mind. The only problem I see in removing it, is it has to go around the dock to get to shore, to pull it out. The water is shallow maybe 3 to 4 feet at low tide at the end of the dock. I am not sure if it has gas or oil in it, or if it is leaking. It is in Urbanna Creek, in Saluda or Middlesex County. If you have any suggestions please let me know. We have exhausted our options. I really would like to get this cleared up for her as soon as possible. She is 93 and would really like to have her dock and beach back.
