Beach cleanup programs can be run from entirely within MyCoast. State administrators can designate beaches that are available, then end users can create organisations and manage their adopted beaches.
When a group beach clean-up event is arranged, users can then use our phone app to track the trash collected.
Time spent on beach, volunteer hours and weight of trash collected are automatically tracked in the app and can easily be viewed on the web site.
The location of every piece of trash (and the area of the beach visited) is recorded by the app, so maps can be generated for state assessment, and the data can all be exported to GIS systems for further analysis.
Data can also be viewed at a state-wide level, allowing simple reporting to NOAA or other agencies.
